Now that’s what I’m talking about. It’s Caprice doing Brandon Moore’s song, “Papa Samba”. Before that we heard Tim Moore’s song, “58th and 34th Street”. These songs are from Caprice’s new CD “From Dawn to Dusk”.

Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.

I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. You can friend me or message me on Facebook or on the Delta Boogie Network at deltaboogie.net. Visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com.

Now here’s a couple of songs by Jazz Alliance, featuring Ron Horton and guest pianist, Joy Sanford, “Just Friends” and “Joy Springs”.

And that’s “Dusk Treader” from the new Caprice CD, “From Dawn to Dusk”. Great new jazz from a group that has helped us at Jazz Thursday and Bebopalooza!

Now here’s the Jonesboro Jazz Society Big Band Playing “Charles Christopher” and “Manteca”. Jazz Alliance drummer, Mike Overall, and Papa Joe Lee are featured on these recordings. The exciting part is when Dizzy Gillespie does a walkon solo during his song, “Manteca”.

Now it don’t get no better than that. That’s Dizzy Gillespie with the Jonesboro Jazz Society Big Band playing “Manteca”

I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Coming up next is the Big Band doing a Woody Herman song, “Opus De Funk”. Then closing the show, recorded on March 11, 2010, it’s Jazz Alliance with “If I Were A Bell”.
