All right now, it’s Gary Gazaway and Lisa Ahia recorded for Something Blue at the Jonesboro Public Library on June 4, 2013. We Heard “I Love Being Here With You”, “Confessin’ The Blues”, and “East Of The Sun”. Gary plays trumpet and Lisa sings. Also playing were Joy Sanford on piano and David Eckert, bass. The library has music on Tuesday nights every year. Gary and Lisa kicked off their 2013 Summer Concerts On The Lawn, and, as always, they gave us a great show.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Friend me or message me on Facebook or on the Delta Boogie Network at deltaboogie.net. For more about the show and to listen to podcasts anytime visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com. Gary and Lisa live in Pocahontas and when they come to Jonesboro they always bring some jazz with them. Now here’s “But Not For Me” and a song Gary dedicated to the memory of Joe lee, “That’s All”. We all miss Joe Lee and “That’s All” was one of his signature tunes.
