Something Blue – Power
Billy Bragg, Tomorrow Is Gonna Be A Better
Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
Billy Bragg, I Ain’t Got No Home In This World Anymore
Billy Bragg, Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key
All right now, we’re listening to Billy Bragg “Way Over Yonder In The Minor Key”. Before that we heard “Tomorrow Is Gonna Be Better” and “I Ain’t Got No Home In This World Anymore”. Billy Bragg was recorded live at the Droichead Arts Centre in Drogheda, Ireland, on October 22, 2011. Bragg is a protest singer bringing the spirit of Woodie Guthrie to modern times. Here he is now rocking a labor song called “NPWA”.

Billy Bragg, Must I Paint You A Picture
Oh yeah, that’s Billy Bragg asking “Must I Paint You A Picture”. His style is rough and raw but he can sing a beautiful song too.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.

Kate Gaffney, Mighty Ship
Now that’s what I’m talking about. It’s Kate Gaffney singing “Mighty Ship”. Before that we heard “Plea To Be”. She was recorded live at New Parrish in Oakland, California, on January 13, 2011. Kate’s got a bluesy voice and she writes a great lyric. Here she is again “Selling Dreams”.

Kate Gaffney, Why I Love You
And that’s Kate Gaffney singing “Why I Love You”. Before that we heard “Give It A Whirl”. I love her bright acoustic guitar and her dark voice.
