Andy Cohen, In My Girlish Days

Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.

Andy Cohen, Lift Him Up
Andy Cohen, Hungry Blues

All right now, that’s “Hungry Blues”. Before that we heard “In My Girlish Days”, and “Lift Him Up”, all sung by the acoustic blues trio of Andy Cohen, Bill Ellis, and Eleanor Ellis.

Bill Ellis goes by his full name, William Lee Ellis, when he records or performs solo. Here he is performing at KASU Blue Monday at the Red Goose Deli in Paragould, Arkansas, singing “Midnight Shift”.

There’s no music like live music and it is part of KASU’s mission to promote area musicians at their live music events and on “Arkansas Roots”.

Vikki McGee has also performed for KASU events many times. Closing us out tonight we have three songs from her “Never Knowing” CD, “You Better Look Out”, “How Much Money”, and “Heart’s Keeper”. Until next time this is Hairy Larry reminding you once again, blues is the mainstream.
