BT Allstars, Scream
Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
BT Allstars, Farid
All right now, that’s the BT Allstars Playing “Farid”. Kicking us off tonight they played “Scream”. The BT Allstars were recorded live on February 19, 2020 at the Trillium Brewing Company in Canton, Massachusetts. Featuring Both Brian Thomas and Alex Lee-Clark from the BT ALC Big Band the BT Allstars are a quartet plus guests. Fantastic jazz sounds from the Live Music Archive.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com to listen anytime and for clickable links to more great music from the featured musicians. Also on the website is my From The Archives of Something Blue podcast which airs on Arkansas Roots every week. It’s a joy to share music from my personal collection with KASU listeners along with a bit of history about how the recording happened.
Now here’s another great band, The New Mastersounds playing “In Da”.

BT Allstars, The Iguana
The New Mastersounds, Yokacoka
Now that’s what I’m talking about, The New Mastersounds playing “Yokacoka”. Before that we heard the BT Allstars do “The Iguana”. The New Mastersounds were recorded live at Shibuya Club Quattro in Tokyo, Japan, on January 30, 2020. I love their progressive rock/jazz fusion sound.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Thanks to the Live Music Archive at archive.org for hosting the concerts we’re playing tonight. There’s no music like live music and when you can’t go out to hear music live recordings will have to do. I post my recordings on the Live Music Archive and do the biggest part of my listening there too.
Ok now, closing the show here’s The New Mastersounds playing “Carrot Juice”. Until next time this is Hairy Larry reminding you once again, blues is the mainstream.
