North Mississippi Allstars, Juicy Juice

All right now, that’s the North Mississippi Allstars singing “Juicy Juice”. The North Mississippi Allstars were recorded live at the Brooklyn Bowl on October 6, 2022. I just love the hill country blues they play so well.

Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.

I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Thanks to the Live Music Archive at archive.org for hosting the concerts we’re hearing tonight.

In addition to Something Blue I also do a podcast for KASU that airs on Arkansas Roots on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Besides the music I present on From The Archives Of Something Blue I also tell a story about the musicians or give some background on how the recording was made. I feel privileged to be able to record and share great Arkansas musicians and to be on the Arkansas Roots team bringing you Arkansas music at noon from Monday through Saturday.

The Tedeschi Trucks Band was recorded live at the Beacon Theatre in New York on October 6, 2022. Now, closing the show here’s Tedeschi Trucks, featuring Derek Trucks on guitar, playing an extended jam they call, “Pasaquan”.
