Something Blue – Street
01.WAV Incident At Perkins
Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
02.WAV 58th and 34th Street
03.WAV Au Privave
All right now, we’re listening to Caprice, recorded live on March 11, 2012 in the ASU bandroom. That was a Charlie Parker song, “Au Privave”. Kicking us off we heard “Incident At Perkins”. And then a Tim Moore original called “58th and 34th Street”.
Tim Moore is the pianist for Caprice. His brother, Brandon Moore, plays tenor sax; Alex Ditto on guitar; Addison Boling, drums; and Matt Bounds, bass. They gave us a great show of jazz standards and original compositions.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Friend me or message me on Facebook or on the Delta Boogie Network at deltaboogie.net. Don’t forget to visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com. And you can find Caprice on Facebook. Just search for CapriceJazz, all one word.
I’ve got two more songs from Caprice now. Here’s a Horace Silver piece, “Song For My Father”. Then we’ll hear a Chick Corea tune “500-Miles High”.

That’s right, it’s the Charlie Hunter Trio recorded live at at The Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 3, 2006. We heard “Drop A Dime” and “Basin St. Blues”. What an amazing guitarist.
