Something Blue – Lost
Mother Hips, Been Lost Once
Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
Mother Hips, Freed From A Prison
Mother Hips, One Way Out
All right now, that’s Mother Hips doing “One Way Out”. Kicking us off they played “Been Lost Once” and then we heard “Freed From A Prison”. These songs were recorded live at Moe’s Alley in Santa Cruz, California, on May 17, 2014. Mother Hips is a San Francisco based blues rock band that just keeps getting it. Learn more about them at http://motherhips.com.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at http://kasu.org.

Please also visit my other music websites, http://deltaboogie.com and http://hairylarryland.com. Thanks to the Live Music Archive at http://archive.org for hosting the concerts we’re playing tonight. There’s no music like live music and KASU promotes live music as part of their mission. Don’t miss Bluegrass Monday, Bluesday Tuesday, or other special KASU music events.
Mother Hips has been playing their music for over 20 years. On their website they say “It’s about making creative choices that are unconventional but that are still appealing that hopefully can reach the listener in a way they didn’t expect”. They also host three days of camping and music every year in Big Sur at a festival they call the Hipnic.
Now for some more Mother Hips. From the same great show here’s “Rose Of Rainbows” and “Best Friend In Town”.
