Not Your Daddy’s Blues
Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
I’ve Got News For You
My Funny Valentine
Now that’s what I’m talking about. Lisa Ahia singing “My Funny Valentine” with the Jazz Writers Big Band at the Delta Jazz Camp recorded right here at ASU. Before that we heard Wally Fowler sing “I’ve Got News For You”. And kicking us off we heard a Tom O’Conner song “Not Your Daddy’s Blues”. The Delta Jazz Camp is held every summer at ASU and part of the camp is live jazz concerts. We’re playing music from these concerts tonight.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Coming right up it’s Jay Shepherd and Friends playing “Girl From Impanema” and “Maiden Voyage”.
