All right now, amazing picking and grinning from Apple, Rounds, Hees, and Cobb. We heard “Blue Night”, “Keep The Lamp On Sadie”, and “Silver Wings” recorded for Something Blue at the Arkansas Roots Festival in Jonesboro on April 8, 2017.
Part of the Delta Blues Symposium, the Arkansas Roots Festival is presented by KASU and their Arkansas Roots show that airs at noon from Monday through Saturday. There’s no music like live music and I love having the opportunity to record this great music for you. Whether it’s Arkansas Roots, Delta Blues, the Memphis Sound, or great jazz the musicians around here love to play it and we all love to put it on the air.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com to listen anytime.
Next up we have Vikki McGee 3 and The Natural Disasters with their fantastic blend of acoustic instruments and heavenly harmonies. Here’s “Can’t Let Go”.
