Now that’s the blues. Jeff Denson singing his own song, “Fell On Black Days”. Kicking us off tonight we heard the David Prez Romain Pilon group do “CK’s Mind”.
Earlier this year we had a jazz trio visit ASU. The morning after their performance they gave a workshop in the bandroom and I got to meet them. Romain Pilon is from Paris, France. Jeff Denson is teaching in SanFrancisco. Ronen Itzik is from Israel currently living in New York. They were all really nice and they each had something to say about jazz. Tonight I am featuring music from some of their CDs.
