North Mississippi Allstars, Back Back Train
Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
Delta Legends, Scratch My Back
All right now, that’s Jeremy Burnett singing “Scratch My Back”. Before that we heard the North Mississippi Allstars with guest star Charlie Musselwhite play “Back Back Train”.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got more Allstars for you. The North Mississipi Allstars were recorded in Solana Beach, California, on June 13, 2017. It’s cool to hear harmonica genius, Charlie Musselwhite, play with this Hill Country band. Here’s a medley of “My Babe” and “Station Blues” followed by “Shake Em On Down”.

John Shepherd, Why
Now that’s what I’m talking about, John Shepherd singing his own song called “Why”. Before that Jeremy Burnett sang a Sonny Boy song, “Eyesight To The Blind”. I recorded Delta Legends for Something Blue live at Godsey’s Grill in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on July 14, 2017. We are blues buskers with John Shepherd playing through his Pignose and I’m using my Hognose 30 for bass and PA. Jeremy Burnett fronts the band with his blues harp and vocals.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
I’m Hairy Larry, host of Something Blue. Visit the Something Blue website at sbblues.com. Thanks to the Live Music Archive for hosting the concerts we’re playing tonight. Find out more about Delta Legends at deltalegends.com.
Ok now, closing the show here’s three more from Delta Legends, “Catfish Blues”, “All Over Again”, and “Drop Down Mama”. Until next time this is Hairy Larry reminding you once again, blues is the mainstream.
