Welcome to Something Blue. I’m Hairy Larry and I’ve got the blues, for you.
Compartment Of Secret Forks, It’s Very Orange
Michael Ward, Una Mas
Now that’s what I’m talking about. That was the Arkansas State University Jazz Octet playing “Una Mas” at Michael Ward’s Senior Recital. “Una Mas” was written by Kenny Dorham and arranged by Michael’s instructor, Mr. Michael Medrick.
Kicking us off tonight we heard Michael Ward play his own composition. “JLW”. And in between there Compartment Of Secret Forks did “It’s Very Orange”.
Something Blue is broadcast on KASU, 91.9 FM and streaming on the internet at kasu.org.
