Now that’s what I’m talking about. luvtrst. recorded on May 2, 2025 at Stage Too in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Playing in luvtrst. were Cody Ballard – tenor sax, Addison Boling – drums, Derek Doyle – bass, and Matt Dixon – guitar. They all live in Northeast Arkansas. We heard “Invitation” and “Little Sunflower”.

Stage Too is a new club at Main and Monroe in Jonesboro and they have music every Friday night.

I heard there was a jazz band playing at Stage Too and when I went Derek Doyle was calling my name from across the street while I was still in the parking lot. Besides Derek I also played with and recorded Cody Ballard and Addison Boling many times before the pandemic but I haven’t seen them in over 5 years. It was great to see them again and to hear them playing this fantastic jazz.
