There’s no music like live music and the Grateful Dead were the number one touring act in the last half of the twentieth century. Besides their famous originals the dead played blues, jug band, country, and other styles that have merged to become what we now call Americana.

Dead & Company were recorded live at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater in Chula Vista, California, on October 27, 2021. They are continuing in the tradition of the Grateful Dead with extended improvisation on the dead songs everybody knows and loves. Closing the show here’s Dead & Company now singing “New Speedway Boogie”. Until next time this is Hairy Larry reminding you once again, blues is the mainstream.
